Just in time for the first big MTB Slopestyle Event of the year, the Crankworx in Rotorua in New Zealand, Formex introduces the extremely versatile and brilliant Dirt Jump and Slopestyle Mountainbiker, Thomas Genon, as a new Formex Ambassador. Despite his incredible success and breakneck jumps, Tommy G has remained down to earth. He loves what he does and lives his passion. With his unmistakable style and an unconditional dedication, Thomas Genon makes a perfect ambassador to our brand and we are proud to count him, along with MTB Pro Simon Pages, as a member of Team Formex.
His father brought him to local Dirt Jumps at an early age. His first time on an international podium was at the FISE Slopestyle in Montpellier in 2011. Since then, Thomas is at the forefront of every FMB World Tour season. His big break came in 2012, when he finished on the podium four times during the season and was rewarded with third place overall in the 2012 FMB World Tour.
In 2014, Genon won the Hall of Dirt, along with slopestyle victories at FISE WORLD Andorra and FISE WORLD Montpellier. He also took second place at the Crankworx Event Les 2 Alpes. The year 2015 was also filled with podium finishes, where he finished third in the Crankworx Les 2 Alpes and Red Bull Joyride and also won the Swatch Rocket Air Slopestyle. In 2016, Thomas won the FISE World Montpellier and finished second in the Red Bull Joyride at Crankworx Whistler.
Because of a broken ankle in early 2017 he had to cancel the season. Well recovered and ready with new tricks, Thomas enters the new year more motivated than ever. Let’s see what he has up his sleeve for this season.
