Gabo

Gabriel «Gabo» Martínez-Abrego is a high school student and professional motorcycle racer born in Monterrey, México on September 16, 1998. Currently the Mexican rider is living in Alicante, Spain and Milan, Italy where he is training full time for his racing activities.

«Gabo» has been raised in a family that has been involved in motorcycle racing for over 50 years. His grandfather started his motorcycle racing career in 1958, he was a multiple time Flat Track and Road Racing Mexican National Champion in the 60’s. His family has been a part of motorcycle racing since; he simply grew up with the sport. His father raced in the USA in the 1990’s with positive results in both WERA and AMA sanctioned events.

«I have been around a racing environment all my life; it is part of what my family is about. It is not difficult to understand that Racing is in my blood. I started racing karts very young, when I was 3 years old. I liked kart racing but coming from a family that raced on two wheels made me want to race motorcycles instead. My racing career has been short but a great opportunity has arrived and I want to make the best out of it with hard training and full dedication.»
